The University of Vermont Clinical Simulation Laboratory Workgroup spearheaded a diverse workgroup that Give Way to Freedom is proud to be a part of. Our mission is to support and provides victim care services to the survivors of human trafficking, advocate for optimal comprehensive care for victims, and educates to increase awareness and understanding of human trafficking within the healthcare and broader communities’ settings.
The Clinical Simulation Laboratory (CSL) at the University of Vermont is already equipped with
- 9000 sq. ft. accredited lab with a full range of simulation- including standardized patients (SPs)
- Serves as the academic hub for UVM College of Medicine (COM), College of Nursing and Health Professions (CNHS), and the University of Vermont Medical Center
- CSL is able to work among all health professionals to address topics of health disparities.
- Previous projects include intimate partner violence, LGBTQ+, disabilities, and low health literacy and therefore has an optimum environment for addressing the issue of human trafficking.
