New England Coalition Against Trafficking (NECAT)
2019 — present
The New England Coalition Against Trafficking (NECAT) led by The Trauma Center at the Justice Resource Institute in Boston is a federally funded coordinated anti-trafficking network throughout New England that is focused on increasing awareness of the issue of human trafficking, training providers to work with trafficking victims, identifying victims of human trafficking within the New England region, and linking trafficking survivors to needed services. As part of NECAT, state-level anti-trafficking coalitions are operating in Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Connecticut.
Give Way to Freedom actively participates at the lead agency for the State of Vermont by attending video conference monthly meetings, helping enhance their training menu, attending an annual conference, actively seeking to build new partnerships with other agencies and groups in Vermont, and of course, collaborating on all levels with the other NECAT members.
